In 2013, I want to:
-Wake up at 6 am for 30 minutes of prayer and Bible reading each day
pretty good--I've gotten up at 6:05 on school days and it might be a little shorter than 30 minutes, but it has been a blessing, and earlier wake up time has become a habit!
-Spend focused 1-on-1 time with each child at least once a month
this one is a little harder to evaluate, I need to be more intentional about planning these times, but also taking advantage of impromptu opportunities when they are in the mood to be with mom!
-Get back to household cleaning routines and menu planning
for the most part, much better! see this post.
-Exercise daily
not great--maybe 3X per week?
-Cut back more on the carbs and sugar we eat
again, hard to evaluate this one. not very much change.
-Have a plan for after-school snacks before I pick up the kids
about half the time, this is better. :)
-Memorize another passage of Scripture
10 verses down! I've been much more diligent here!
-Incorporate devotional reading with the kids at breakfast
um, no. not sure if this will work at all with our morning schedule rush or morning personalities.
-DEclutter
I've done 1 thing I can think of: cleaned out the bathroom cabinet
-Watch more closely where the money goes and spend less of it
hmm. not so much, except that I have been trying not to spend on wants during Lent.
-Speak words of life to my husband and children
again, hard to evaluate. I have been trying to stop when I find myself nagging or coming down too hard on them. Praising and giving compliments does not come easy for me. I did start journals with the older two, where we can write back and forth to each other with what's on our mind, and I have used that to give praise and love to them.
-Blog more consistently
very good!
-Streamline my memory-keeping
I made a plan! (see here.) Following through on the plan is a tougher task. :)
Overall, this is more encouraging than discouraging to me--and a good reminder of some areas I need to focus more attention on!

I'm so in awe. I'm just surviving over here-and you're working on number 6! Can I please get a Mommy inservice?
